I’m going to see Billy Joel in concert Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the new Sprint Arena in KC.

I think I have watched every episode of Monk. I especially loved the two episodes of Monk where former cast members of Wings guest starred. I wonder if any of the other Wings cast will appear in any upcoming Monk episodes. My favorite Wings actor was Steven Weber. It was hard to see him casted as a villain, but he was sooo excellent in the roll. I hated his sleazy guts and was applauding by the time Monk proved him the killer. Monk has been my #1 favorite television show since the pilot episode was first aired.

Tony Shalhoub is one of the most gifted actors there is. He is multi-tallented.

I don’t know much about his music except I’m told he is an excellent musician. What I do know is he is doing a lot for the reconstruction of New Orleans. For that, I admire him.

I think he is kooky, but cool, hardly a sex symbol, both admired and envied for his celebrity. He is not a real genious, but comes across as kind of dorky.

I watch him ocassionally but not every night. I just believe he is the genuine artifact.

I would actually like to complete a goal this year, not just the trivial ones, but a more serious one. I am trying to lose the extra pounds I have been carrying around for the last 18-19 years. If I can get down to 145 Lbs., any extra I lose should be easy. I really love to eat and sometimes cant stop. I grew up thinking that not cleaning my plate was wasteful. I also have a problem with taking 2nd helpings. Especially ate a buffet restaurant. Just have to get my money’s worth.

I have decided that more wasteful one way is less waistful another. I can learn to put less on my plate and watch what I eat.

I discovered the majic of Billy Joel back in 1978 while thumbing thru my college roommate’s record album collection. While I had heard the songs ‘the Piano Man’ and ‘the Stranger’ before on the radio, I really had no idea who he was. I listened to the entire album ‘The Stranger’ and immediately went and bought my own. From then on I could never get enough of him.

2005 will be a year not easily forgotten. Many worldwide events, both manmade and natural took place that will always be remembered by nearly everyone.

For me, 2005 started out with my 17 year old daughter in the ICU in the hospital following a car accident On December 29, 2004. She suffered a closed head injury plus a broken jaw. She spent a month in the hospital and had to have physical, occupational and speech therapy for another two months after her release. She was able to return to school full-time in April, but her short term memory has been affected and she has had trouble concentrating and coping with this. She has finally realized she needs more help and is receiving more OT and ST. After all the problems she has had to overcome this past year, we believe she will be able to graduate this year with her classmates. It has been a dark journey at times but every journey has a purpose.
